Kavinder inaugurates development works | KNO

Speaker Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta inaugurated various development works in Gandhi Nagar Constituency here today.

The inaugurated works included upgradation of existing lanes and drains besides construction of new ones in Ward no. 46, Sector 3, Sanjay Nagar and Ward No.52, Channi Himmat.

Speaking on the occasion, the Mr Gupta said that the government is committed to provide better road connectivity and appropriate drainage system in every locality. He said that with the collective efforts of various departments, development works are being completed in a speedy manner thus accruing the benefits to the public in time. “Strenuous efforts are being put in for improvement of existing road connectivity with special focus on internal parts of the region”, he added.

Later, the Speaker assessed the progress of various ongoing development works being executed in the area and directed the concerned officers for completion of  works in a time bound manner to benefit the locals at the earliest. He directed the officers of concerned departments to maintain the quality work and ensure proper utilization of resources for optimum outcome of various development and welfare schemes.

The Speaker also interacted with the locals and took stock of their grievances. He assured them that all their issues will be redressed at the earliest.

The Speaker was accompanied by senior officers from concerned departments.

Later,  Speaker inaugurated a medical shop in Channi Himmat area.
